An impregnation plant is a machine that produces insulating sheets called "prepreg" used in electronic substrates. Semiconductors are essential for the evolution of modern society, including AI, 5G/6G high-speed communications, satellite communications, autonomous driving, big data processing, and medical devices. All of these technologies use the electronic substrates that power semiconductors. Most of the prepreg (insulating material) used in high-performance electronic substrates manufactured around the world is produced in our impregnation plants. We continue to meet the ever-evolving technologies and demands of our customers.
This plant manufactures insulating materials (prepreg) used in electronic substrates and other applications by impregnating glass substrates with resin, drying, semi-curing, and cooling them. It consists of process equipment for unwinding and supplying the glass substrate, storing it, cleaning it up, pre-impregnating it, impregnating it, drying it, curing it, cooling it, trimming it, and winding it up.
